What is share market?
A stock market, also known as a securities market or equity market, is a platform where companies and organizations can issue and trade shares of stock. These shares represent ownership in the company, and the price of the shares fluctuates based on supply and demand. When a company wants to raise capital, it can issue shares of stock, which are then bought and sold on the stock market.
Individual and institutional investors can buy shares of stock in a company, becoming part-owners of that company and entitled to a portion of the company's profits and assets. Investors can also make money by selling shares of stock they already own at a higher price than they paid for them. However, there is also risk of losing money, in case the shares value drops.
The stock market is a place where buyers and sellers come together to trade securities, and it is typically operated by a stock exchange.
